2. Paper Rechecking & Script Verification Procedure
Candidates dissatisfied with their declared marks may submit an online application for paper rechecking within 20 calendar days of the official result declaration. The rechecking process under FBISE statutory rules is defined strictly as administrative verification rather than qualitative re-evaluation of answers.
What Script Rechecking Encompasses:
- Verification that all internal pages and answer continuations were thoroughly examined and marked by the evaluator.
- Verification that every sub-question score on internal pages has been accurately transcribed onto the title-page marking ledger.
- Mathematical recalculation and cross-checking of mark additions on the title page.
- Verification that no questions or answer parts were left completely unassessed.
- Handwriting and roll number barcode verification on the examined script.
Online Application & Challan Submission Workflow
- Visit the official FBISE Portal (
www.fbise.edu.pk) and navigate to the Online Rechecking Application service.
- Input your Roll Number, Registration Number, and select the specific subjects requested for script verification.
- Generate the designated system-printed Fee Challan (Rs. 1,500 per subject for domestic candidates, $50 per subject for overseas centers).
- Deposit the prescribed fee at any designated HBL or Askari Bank branch, or execute online payment through 1Link, EasyPaisa, or JazzCash.
- Tracking credentials will be issued via SMS; rechecking scrutiny is concluded within 15 working days, and amended transcripts are automatically updated on the portal.
3. 2nd Annual (Supplementary) Examination Policy & Timelines
Under FBISE's progressive dual-session system, candidates who failed one or more subjects in the 1st Annual Examination are not required to lose an entire academic year. The 2nd Annual Examination operates as a full-fledged examination session held within 40 to 50 days following the 1st Annual result declaration.

Eligibility Criteria for 2nd Annual Appearance:
- Compartment Candidates: Students who failed up to two subjects in SSC-II or across the combined SSC-I and SSC-II curriculum.
- Full Failure Re-appearance: Candidates failing more than two subjects who opt to re-appear in all failed components.
- Grade Improvement Examinees: Successful candidates holding grades C, D, or E who wish to immediately improve their overall GPA prior to higher secondary college admissions.

4. Subject & Grade Improvement Regulations
FBISE offers one of the most flexible grade improvement policies across Pakistan. A candidate who has passed the SSC Examination is eligible to improve their grade or marks within a timeframe of four examination sessions (two calendar years) from the date of passing the qualifying examination.
Option A: Full Exam Improvement
Re-appearing in all papers across both SSC Part-I and SSC Part-II. Ideal for candidates seeking total GPA restructuring for prestigious military colleges or scholarship thresholds.
Option B: Part-Wise Improvement
Appearing exclusively in all subjects of SSC Part-II (10th Class) while retaining the original marks achieved in SSC Part-I (9th Class).
Option C: Subject-Specific Improvement
Targeting up to four specific subjects (e.g. Mathematics and Physics) across both parts. The higher score between the original and improvement attempt is automatically preserved on the final sanad.
5. Inter-Board Migration, NOC & Sanad Verification
Matriculates transitioning from FBISE to provincial boards (e.g. BISE Rawalpindi, BISE Lahore, BISE Peshawar, or Karachi Board) must obtain an official No Objection Certificate (NOC) / Migration Certificate.
