2. Paper Rechecking & Script Recounting Procedure
Candidates may challenge their awarded marks by applying for paper rechecking within 15 calendar days from the official result declaration date. In accordance with PBCC Calendar Chapter 7, rechecking does not permit re-assessment of subjective answer quality; it guarantees strict administrative verification of scoring accuracy.
The Rechecking Scrutiny Checklist:
- Verification that the script belongs to the candidate via roll number and barcode verification.
- Verification that no questions, sub-parts, or extra continuation sheets were left unmarked.
- Mathematical re-addition of all marks across each individual question.
- Accurate transcription of internal page scores onto the title-page mark tally table.
- Cross-verification of marks against the centralized computer award list.
How to Apply Online via Rawalpindi Board Portal:
- Access the official BISE Rawalpindi portal (
www.biserawalpindi.edu.pk) and click on Online Rechecking System.
- Input your B-Form / CNIC number and SSC-II Roll Number to populate your examination records.
- Select the desired theory and practical components for verification.
- Download the computerized Fee Challan (Rs. 1,400 per subject).
- Deposit the fee at any computerized branch of Habib Bank Limited (HBL) or via mobile banking channels.
- Track your application status online; candidates are notified of appointment dates to inspect their answer scripts in the presence of the Secrecy Officer.
3. 2nd Annual (Supplementary) Examination Policy
The 2nd Annual Examination offers candidates a vital academic bridge to clear compartment subjects without losing their scholastic year. Under Punjab Board regulations, the 2nd Annual session commences approximately 40 days following the 1st Annual result declaration.

Eligibility Regulations:
- Compartment Candidates: Students failing in up to two subjects in SSC-II or combined SSC-I/II are placed in compartment status and can appear immediately in the 2nd Annual session.
- Full Failure Re-appearance: Candidates failing three or more subjects must appear in all failed subjects as private candidates.
- Marks Improvement: Candidates with grade C, D, or E who wish to elevate their intermediate admission standing may appear in up to four subjects.
4. Grade Improvement Regulations & Higher Score Retention
Candidates wishing to enhance their matriculation scorecard can avail up to four examination sessions (two calendar years) from their passing date, provided they have not yet appeared in Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC / Intermediate) examinations.
Under PBCC rules, the Higher Score Rule applies automatically: if a candidate scores fewer marks in their improvement attempt than their original exam, their original higher score is legally preserved on their final transcript.
